You can try Skyfire browser... I haven't had any need for it, but others have used it

Or you can use Logmein and run your browser from your desktop

I bought puffin so I could control a cisco wireless controller better. But it didn't work because it wasn't a public ally available site. If you absolutely need flash the iPad might not be the best choice.

Mostly video,
This is not for me, someone at work needs for videos mostly, but some games on line.

If the games are a must, then the iPad isn't for you. I would probably recommend the touchpad being released by hp later this year. It's os is much better than android, it's on par if not a notch better than iOS, and is fully flash compatible. However you will lose out on all the apps.

I wish I had a job where I could borrow an iPad and use it to watch videos and play games.

You make it sound like it's the guy's job to watch videos and play games. Is it impossible to think that it's just the guy's coworker who wants Flash?

ISwifter works but the experience is not very smooth.

The other option is to use splash top desktop app to use flash on your desktop machine.

Both of the above options provide mediocre experience.

If you can't do without flash, iPad is not a good choice for you.
