Hi,

I was just wondering if I were to buy a new iPhone would I be able to use the computers at the apple store to backup my old iPhone and restore onto the new phone that I have just bought?

I have always backed up to iCloud (~40GB backup) and I am now starting to realise the download may be impossible as i'm not near a longterm wifi source based on what some people are suggestion for wait times on iCloud.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

many thanks!

All apple stores have free wifi you can use. I used it last time I got an exchange iphone, to get my backup back.

Not sure how fast it will be tho, 40Gb is a lot. You might be wandering round the store for a while.

Normally, if you purchase a new iPhone at an Apple Store, they will, if you require, they will set everything up for you. However, if you go on or close to launch day, as has already been said, it would be unreasonable to expect this.
