If I buy an ACD now, will my video camera on my MBP work

on the ACD? For example, if I video chat with someone, but use my MBP to video chat, can I move the video over to my ACD?

I'd like to wait for a new ACD, but it just does not look like they are going to make any anytime soon.

Yeah, if you have it setup in a dual display mode, it will just extend your desktop, and you can drag whatever you want to the extra space (video chat window, Safari, etc.). The MBP lid has to be open, obviously (so no clamshell mode).

yeah I purchased the elevator stand (very good by the way), and plan on using it as a dual-monitor.

I'd like to wait for a new ACD, but it just doesn't seem like there are any rumors about a new one coming out anytime soon.

hmm...just read an article where it states that they may come out with new ones in January and that they will have HDMI hookup. anyone else know anything about this?
