If I buy an Iphone on Amazon before my contract is up...

If I buy an Iphone (or any phone) on Amazon before my contract is up, will AT&T charge me the extra $75 early activation fee still? Or does Amazon not really go thru them? Also when I try to buy it on Amazon, it takes me thru adding plans and data plans, even though I already have an AT&T plan... will that mess up my current one?
