Thinking about picking up an iTouch to jailbreak and use. Obviously it needs to run 8.1.2 or less to do this. I am thinking of buying a 16GB model from Walmart...I don't know how well Walmart sells them now days...but what do you guys think will be installed on it? Is there a way to tell before taking it home without turning it on?

You could try punching in the serial number here (from the box)

if the manufacturing date is before when 8.1.3 was released, it should be ok. I reckon it will come with ios7 though

Mine came as 8.1.2 and a friend bought one around the same time and his was 8.1.2 as well!
