hey guys really need your help there is one ipad 2 left in stock at my local walmart and wondering if i should buy it so i can jailbreak it. i was wondering if i could install 4.3.3 and jailbreak it even though 4.3.4 is out

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3GS: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_4 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8K2 Safari/6533.18.5)

If it's at the walmart right now, it has 4.3.3 on it. 4.3.4 was released just yesterday. That iPad was shipped before this release and they don't upgrade unsold units in stores.

You could still jailbreak on 4.3.3 even after apple stops signing 4.3.3. You simply won't be able to save your hashes for 4.3.3 allowing you to downgrade.

Yes, but if you ever have to restore, you won't be able to restore to 4.3.3. You'll be stuck on 4.3.4 or whatever's current at that time with no jailbreak.

He's right, Apple will send it with the latest upgrade. They put stuff in the box once someone has bought it, and that's why you'll always get the latest updated machine when buying from Apple

If I was to go to a reseller (Bestbuy, target, walmart, etc.) now and to buy a iPad 2, what would be the likely hood of getting on with 4.3.3?

I bought a 32 gb iPad 2 from best buy jus yesterday and it has 4.3.3 and jailbroke jus fine :) in the process of selling my 16. Always had to manage my space kinda sucked.

a retailer I am looking at received their shipment last week. is there a chance it will have 4.3.4 on it?
