So, I know, blasphemy.
But... I'm thinking very slowly about my next laptop. If there were to be a Lenovo that was <3.5 lbs, with Core 2, optical drive, fingerprint reader, bluetooth, and perhaps EDGE built-in, I might become interested in Vista.
So, I wanted to ask... I was looking at what I would use to replace my major applications... in most areas, it's pretty easy to spot something I'd be happy with -- Office or OOo, PSE 5, Trillian, Firefox, iTunes, etc.
The one that I'm not so sure about: syncing. It's absolutely vital to me that I be able to do bluetooth syncs of my wireless device.
Now: iSync -- I have but no longer use MissingSync for WM5
Then: ??? If I get a WM6 device, it looks like I can do this with Vista's inbuilt WMDC, as long as I do my first sync via USB. But if I have a device like a RAZR V3, is there a built-in mechanism to do a bluetooth sync in Windows?
I even thought about Linux, but this appears to be an even bigger mess in Linux...
So I know I've asked about this on Linux before. My googling does not turn up much informative information on this in Vista. Can anyone help me understand the landscape?
