If I downgrade my iPhone to ios4.0 will my baseband be downgraded?

I am currently on a iPhone 3gs with ios 4.1 my baseband is 05.14.02.

If I go back to ios 4.0, will my baseband also be downgraded or will it remain the same?

Sorry for the noob question, I googled but didn't find an answer.

Your baseband will remain the same unfortunately.
 
Damn, thanks for the response.

I think I already know the answer to my next question... There is no way I can downgrade my current baseband so I can unlock at present, correct?
