give me a loaner phone as my phone is being fixed...or :Dwill they give me a new iphone straight up?

I'm pretty sure the latter is a pipe dream, but can anyone confirm?

BTW, the problem is only one of the speakers work...so If I am holding the phone covering the left speaker the iPhone is essentially mute.
 
That's because it is a mic on the otherside. One one side is a speaker. I'm pretty sure they wont give you a new phone or a loaner because nothing is wrong with your phone, my friend ..

Only one of those 'speakers' is a speaker, the other is a microphone.
 
sorry to burst your bubble but only one speaker is used for sounds and music. the other which is the right speaker is a microphone. if you really want a new phone which if you take to an apple store they will replace it new on the spot. just make up some excuse and see if they believe you.
 
where did you think your voice was going when you talked on the phone? that magical microphone in the home button..:rolleyes:

i have had 10 iPhone's replaced cuz i insisted the speakers didnt work. you see, i was under the assumption that if i held the phone upside down, that the acceleramator would changed the earpiece to a microphone.

but seriously, the left side is a speaker, the right is a microphone. Just in case you didnt know.............
