If I install an SSD in to my early 2011 Macbook Pro, will I be able to use Powernap?

My MacBook is out of warranty, just wondering if I'd be able to use the power app feature with a 3rd party SSD I install myself. Thanks!

No. Its for OEM SSDs only. But you can enable TRIM via Terminal or an App.
