When do you reckon (from experience) I'll get the phone.

You see, I don't want to pre-order if I'll be waiting several weeks..

If you do it early enough before they sell out, you'll get it on launch day.

Edit: Misread his post. Yeah, probably 2-3 weeks.

I dont have the money to preorder until next week.. :(

So do you reckon it would be better not to preorder, and then just buy instore?

Will it take even longer if I don't preorder, and just buy after the release date online?

no one knows how many will sell on preorder tomorrow. they could sell out on preorder and shipping times could be 2-3 weeks...this has happened before.

I doubt the iPhone 5 will have a near-instantaneous sell-out later tonight, but my guess is if you don't submit your pre-order within a few days, you'll be waiting at least two weeks if not more.

Pre-ordering will stop at launch next week and then you would just order and expect a delay due to constrained supply since in addition to the 9 countries that get pre-orders starting on 9/14 other countries will begin pre-orders in the coming weeks. The delay time could be 5-7 days or even 5-6 weeks, we don't know today but we saw those types of delays last year depending on the specific carrier / model / color. :D

In addition these additional roll-outs will impact peformance on the Apple systems just like the crunch we will all see tomorrow and when iOS 6 is available for download next week.
