If I reformat an SSD, does it wipe out the Firmware Update?

Hey gang,

Random question on harddrive firmware - is this altered or erased when I reformat the drive?

Specific to my case, I formatted a Samsung 840 Evo SSD to OS X Journaled, conducted a firmware update, and then reformatted the SSD once more while installing a backup and OS X El Cap.

Does this reformatting effect the firmware in any way?

No, it's not possible for the formatting of a disk to affect firmware.
