Hey all, I had jailbroken my previous iphone 3g and saved my SHSH files on the cydia server by clicking the "make my life easier" button. I have just bought an iphone 4 and it has 4.0.2 and i would like to jailbreak this one. Can i use the saved shsh files from my first iphone and use those to jailbreak my new phone? Or do i have to have the SHSH files for the specific phone im going to jailbreak

damn! Figured i would see if i could get lucky. Guess ill just have to hope they will hack 4.02:(

Thanks for the info

They won't, that would be a waste of an exploit, they will be waiting for 4.1 to be released now so it looks like you might have a bit of a wait on your hands.

Edit: Seems everyone beat me to it lol and 4.1 is being released on 8th September

Think about this very carefully. If you could use the SHSH blobs from your old phone to downgrade a different one then why do we bother saving SHSH blobs? Why isn't there a single SHSH blob that you can download from SHSHblob.com to downgrade every phone in the world?
