I was lucky enough to receive a Series 6 watch for Christmas (upgrading from my Series 0 🤣), and I want to set it up as new. My question is: if I do that, will my Activity and workout data from my previous watch carry over through my phone or through iCloud?

It should carry over. Just know that glitches happen at times and data can go missing.

Congrats on your new watch. I really like the series 6.

If it is the aluminum model, I suggest you get a screen protector for it. I use the following one when at work.

Yep, I've done it maybe a handful of times - the data always comes over. Sometimes it may take a day or two for everything to come over - but it eventually does. Just let it do its thing. On a fresh reset, it'll slowly start syncing everything so don't be alarmed if your badges and activity data don't transfer right away.

Having said that, and done this a handful of times - the day you do the resetting - the activity data always seems to reset (the steps/exercise minutes for the day only). So I'd recommend doing it early in the morning or on a day you don't care about much.

Yep. I also upgraded from series 0 to a series 4 a year or two ago and was happy to see that my activity history carried over. The data is now stored on your phone so it can be synced. I actually still use the series 0 as back up for when I forget to charge my 4 and want to still use a watch so I switch back and forth now and never miss a day. The series 0 really does last a long time. :)

Congrats on your upgrade!
