if i take my iphone from australia to newzealand

hey I have had mates come from nz to aus with there phones and they were only able to access nz istore (probably didn't try solve the problem).

I'm taking my iphone from aus to newzealand and wondering if I will have this problem or if when I reset my phone I just click newzealand and it will access there istore or do I have to make a new iTunes account and write i'm from nz or will I just have to deal with this minor issue?.
