If I upgrade to GM, am I risking losing all my data?

I will kill myself if I lose all my history on WhatsApp, is it safe to restore and back up? I feel like it's a Russian roulette... Will the official iOS 7 be OTA at least?

If you backup you won't lose anything.

Are you upgrading from beta 6? I just did it without any problem, alt+update on itunes. The only thing is that you won't be able to sync with itunes until 11.1 comes out. Anyway do backups both in itunes and icloud before doing anything, whatsapp also has the option to backup the conversations to icloud

I upgraded four devices. Two of which were iOS 6 and two iOS 7 beta.

Not a SINGLE loss or problem.

Install via option upgrade, was very surprised at how smoothly things went...

This is a rare time that I probably won't jump on the upgrade the day it's released. I've had all of the Beta versions. Never had an issue with any of them. I'll let the initial wave of upgrades pass by then do it. Hopefully everything is smooth. I wonder if there are any changes made from Beta 6 to the GM?
