If I use tiger Cd's to reset a password in MB running Snow Leopard will it work?

Hey guys!

Long time member just don't get to post so often

Just picked up a macbook for my daughter it's a 1.8 with 2 gig memory and a 250 g hd

I think its first gen second revision?

Anyhow... it came installed with 10.6.6
I just tried installing CS5 for her and it's not working? wants a password.
In the system pref menu it says there is no master password set?
I tried just hitting enter but it still wants a password.

The laptop came with Tiger CD's, if I boot off the Cd's to reset the password will it affect our Snow Leopard?

I tried to reset a Leopard password with a Tiger disc and it didn't see the user.

Think it needs to be same or higher OS.
