I have to take my 3g in for another replacement only had it 5 months but oh well my question is if i wait till they release the new iphone this summer do you think if i take it in a month or two after release they will give me the new model one?

really? even once the stop making them? i remember last year they basically ran out of iphones in anticipation for the new launch.

They still have loads of the first generation refurbs to give out to those who still own the first generation. The current 3G will be handed as refurbs for those who have the current 3G. This is the way it works even when a new one comes out.

You best bet is to sell yours, if you sell it now you'll get more money compared if you sell it when the new one comes out.

I wonder how often we'll see this question. This sort of thing rarely happens. They have plenty of the 5th generation iPod for refurb. Apple will never give you a brand new phone for free because of a replacement under warranty unless there are odd reasons for it to happen.
