If I want to see how big the iPhone 6+ is..

just look at the iPad mini and scale down just a lil

If there were no devices on the market, I would go with this. But that is jsut not the case. The mini has a 7.85 inch screen. The Plus has a 5.5 inch screen. The gap between the mini and the plus is bigger than the gap between the 5S and the Plus, so this isn't going to give a very good indication at all.

Pull out a U.S. paper (money) bill. The 6+ is about 2mm taller than that bill. It is wider though.

Download this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2lv2phny3oiytrf/iPhone6RelSizesWiPadMini.pdf?dl=0, print it, cut out the 6+.

Another option: pull out two U.S. $1 bills. Fold each over right underneath George Washington's chin. Now put them (George's face up) head-to-head or (George's) chin to chin. To-da: you now have the width of the iPhone 6+ and almost the height (the 6+ is about 2mm taller than the bills).

Either the Note 3 or do what my buddy did, draw one on paper or napkin and cut it out. It actually convinced him that he didn't want the 5.5.

This isn't correct. Just printed it and put my 5s on it and the 5s was longer than the outline.

I did make sure it wasn't scaling it down.

You're right. I just compared my 5S to the cutout and it was slightly taller. But I think the 6 and 6+ cutout can still serve as a guide.

If the iPhone plus had a higher res screen comparable to the LG and Note, I'd say that. But it doesn't. Which is disappointing.

I had the same issue. You can get the sizes of Apples website. I just added them to this template and made a cardboard cut out. Wrapped it in tape and I had a pretty accurate template. 6+ for me!
