A) Take SIM out of 3G
B) Wipe 3G Clean
C) Sell
D) Go to AT&T Store, give them the SIM, and get a 3GS.

Is it really that easy? lol

Sounds easy enough. It's too bad Apple just tanked your resale value with the $99 3G. Hopefully you can find someone already on contract who wants a 3G

Yeah. I'm gonna unlock the phone the day or two before I sell it, hopefully I will get like $350 for it :)

You should be able to sell the current 3G for more than 99 bucks. Remember the prices they announced are for new customers and anyone who is eligible (near the end of their contract) for an upgrade. Those prices come with a new 2-year agreement. You're selling your's as just a phone with no strings attached, so you can get more $$$ before even unlocking it.

Doh, not this again....

When reselling with NO CONTRACT you compare to the 3G 8gb no contract price of 499. You don't compare it to the contract price of 99....

How do I "unlock" it exactly and what does it mean? Why does it seem that unlocked phones fetch more money when selling it? I currently have a 3G and want to sell it and upgrade to the 3G S. Thanks alot.
