If they delay the mini one could we see a repeat of 2012 with two Ipads in 6 months? Imagine if they give us a redesign 5th generation Ipad with no finger print sensor. Come March 2014 they announce a 6th generation Ipad with a fingerprint sensor to launch alongside a retina mini?

Fingerprint sensor/touch ID is the equivalent to a keyless entry pushbutton start I doubt very much they would leave it out of any premium iOS devices

I agree. I highly doubt that they would make any device from here on out without that feature, that is unless said feature completely flops and is useless. Or unless they are trying to grab more of the market share by targeting those who cannot afford the premium devices with all the bells and whistles.

But I am in no way a big shot CEO so anything could be game.
