Iphone 8 :

64gb $999
256gb $1099
512gb $1199

then wouldn't that mean that the iphone 7s and 7s+ would have reduced prices like this?

iphone 7s

32gb $649 (same price as usual)
128gb $699
256gb $749

etc

I don't think there is any need to increase prices on 7S and 7S+.

I'll give you an example: 7+ 256GB costs $969, 64GB iPhone X costs $999. You're paying $30 more than the price of 7+ 256GB to get a phone with 1/4th of the storage of the 7+ 256GB. You'll have to pay $130 more to get the 256GB iPhone X to match the same storage as the 7+ 256GB.

The starting model in the X series has 1/4th the storage of the most expensive model in the 7+ series, and they cost more or less the same.

So anyone who needs to buy a X model with more storage is already paying a premium over the 7+.

The storage tier difference between the two phones is the same.

64 * 4 = 256 * 2 = 512

32 * 4 = 128 * 2 = 256

So there is no reason to have a reduced pricing the "jump" is the same.

I feel the "7S" models will have similar pricing to the iPhone 7, mainly because Apple Wants the pricing to remain traditional for this iPhone model, Which could include a slight price increase.

So ur saying they'd charge both $100 for a 100 and 200 gb jump? Makes no sense

Actually, it doesn't make sense why they are reducing the price of the 100 GB jump because they are introducing a 200 GB jump. People are currently paying $100 for a 100 GB jump, so logically, they can get away with charging $200 for a 200 GB charge (which they currently do, ie. 32 GB -> 256 GB = $200 difference).

You literally just contradicted yourself, you said:

"There's no reason that a 100gb and 200gb jump should cost differently, but they currently do"

I sure hope so about the 7S models. The thought of spending a few hundred more on a "Edition" model along with $100+ for a wireless pad on top of all that doesn't interest me all that much at the moment.

64 GB iPhone 7s USD 649
256 GB iPhone 7s USD 749

64 GB iPhone 7s+ USD 769
256 GB iPhone 7s+ USD 869

64 GB iPhone edition USD 999
256 GB iPhone edition USD 1099

I do NOT think there will be any 32 GB or 128 GB iPhones in 2017.

There is a slight possibility that there might be a 512 GB iPhone. However, it is unlikely that anything but the iPhone edition would get it.

Regardless, the price jump to a 512 GB iPhone from a 256 GB one will be exactly USD 200 for said model.

And I had already predicted almost all of this over 1-2 months ago.
