Subject says it all. Since Walmart will now have iPhones on launch day at what time will they go on sale considering most Walmart's are 24/7.

Just to clarify, most Wal-Marts are not open 24/7. The closest one to me is about an hour away, and I have about ten that are closer to me that are not open 24/7. That is only for the super Wal-Marts. Even though they are becoming more popular, it is still not the case for everyone.
Aside from that, this is a good question. I am trying to think what they did for Black Friday. I thought that they did a 12:00 a.m. launch. However, Apple and AT&T may not allow them to do this.
They won't go on sale at midnight. They will end up waiting until the Apple Stores open. Usually with product launches, the product manfuactuer will set a "Go" time. Only after that can they sell it.

I'm going to say no, simply because while a lot of Walmart stores are 24/7, the entire store isn't 24/7. For example, electronics usually closes at 9 or 10pm and doesn't "reopen" until 8ish.
Since contract phone purchases are made in electronics, I'm guessing it won't launch at 12am. Even if Walmart wanted to remain open, my bet is Apple's "go time" isn't until 5pm the day of the launch.
NEVER heard of a walmart super center electronics department closing at ANY time. Don't think they do that.

The Walmart SuperCenter on Highway 183 (Airport Freeway) in Arlington, TX is open 24/7, but the electronics department is closed down at night.
Just TRY to buy even a DVD at night there..They have the whole place locked up, shut down, and unmanned.
Yeah, I've never heard that either? I work late hours and sometimes I head into a Wal-Mart after work (2-3am) and I've never had any issue purchasing an electronic item. Obviously, it may not be staffed as usual... but that doesn't mean you can't shop from that department!
I went into Wal-Mart at midnight when Burning Crusade released (World of Warcraft) and picked it up. Obviously, this won't happen with the iPhone... it's just an example of never seeing an electronics department closing.
This Walmart in Arlington might be an anomaly, but once, a couple of years ago, I asked them to unlock the place where they keep the DVDs, and you would have thought that I asked them for their first-born child! They told me they couldn't do it...but I was persistent...FOR A DVD, can you believe it???
That's hilarious. I know we've gotten a bit off track here... but I think this thread is done anyway.
Fact is, there will be no iPhone at midnight for Wal-Mart.
