If macbook charger port got wet?

My hands were damp earlier when I may have accidentally touched the part of the charger that plugs into the MBP. It doesn't seem to have been wet though; I'm cautious, and a bit nervous to plug it back into the MBP.

If it did at all get wet, would it mess it up? Or is it probably fine?

If you plug in the charger while any liquid is present on the port then it will likely cause problems. If not, I think you'll be okay.
