if money is no object(just kidding...
up to $500?), is there a good telephoto adapter that can fit the 13 Pro and achieve 10x optical zoom or 300mm(35mm equivalent)?
Yes they do but the lenses they sell are only a 2x (58mm) max. The iPhone 13 pro / pro max has a 3x camera that is better than moments 2x lens. That’s not a 10x like the OP was asking for. I just sold four of my moment lenses because they don’t work well on the new larger cameras of the iPhone 13 pro series.Moment makes telephoto lenses for iPhones. They snap into the cases they make.

You can find decent zoom lens attachment optics on Amazon, but I’m sure the optics are fairly lousy. Do you have a spotting scope at home? If so there is a company that makes adapters for your device to fit certain models of scopes. If you are looking for a clamp-on lens, then Amazon will be your best bet. Read the reviews and search the web for the best quality 10x attachment.if money is no object(just kidding...up to $500?), is there a good telephoto adapter that can fit the 13 Pro and achieve 10x optical zoom or 300mm(35mm equivalent)?
Instead of moments lenses, I’ve switched over to BeastCam lenses with the BeastCage and or BeastGrip mounts. Their lenses are fantastic and sharp. The 2x is what I want next but they sell out quickly. Their optics are designed for the newest iPhone cameras and larger sensors. I currently have the .75x (wide lens) and the 1.33 anamorphic MKII lens to work on my BeastCage. Best quality I’ve seen so far.I’ve been searching a while for a Tele that will work over the iPhone 13 Pro 3x lens.
Even just a 6x ‘effect’ would be beneficial.
But no luck so far. Moment’s view (pun intended) is that their 58 Tele over the 3x kills the light too much. Their sample video also shows that combo to be noticeably soft/blurry.
I‘m hoping someone is working on, or will soon release, a tele lens specifically designed to work over the 3x tele.
Such a design would probably be crap on it’s own (e.g.: over the 1x) and I don’t care lol. Give me a ’tele-expander’ for the 3x.

Yes, phonescope… that’s what I was thinking. Couldn’t remember the name. Not exactly a "telephoto adapter", but I have a friend who has been using one of these kits with his iPhone 8 for awhile, have seen some nice pictures from him in the past. Kind of big and awkward and you would probably need a tripod. Not sure if they are compatible with the iPhone 13.

BeastCam is now much better than Moment. Moment lenses are not up to date with the larger optics and sensors like the 13 pro max series. They aren’t sharp anymore. Besides, none of these companies make a 10x lens yet. I just sold four moment lenses as they are not good anymore with my iPhone.Might want to check out what Moment offers.
I shot film for a long time as well, I started photography in 1988 just out of high school. Got my first digital camera in 2002 I think, the Nikon D1X. I have the 77mm filter as well along with a few other sizes that I bought from Precision Camera and Video in Austin Tx when I lived there. They are the Promaster brand HGX pro series filter for digital and film. They aren’t cheap and have really good multi-coatings. I think my 77mm was $189 or so. So I bought a step up ring from Amazon to use the 77mm on my BeastCage filter adapter and on the lenses I have for it. Walking around with the BeastCage and filters/lenses attracts attention… people ask what it is often because it looks so cool and unique. Here is a link to the polarizing filter that I use. Thanks @Todd H - I’ve found that unlike film photography, the only filter that I need for digital is a polarizer.
I have 77mm filters from the film days, a warming heliopan and a super thin (for wide angle) B+W. These filters are large enough that I can just hold them in front of the lens without a mount when I need them.
Side note: I used to use a polarizer a lot in color film photography, but as time went on, I began to dislike the effects on sky color and the polarizing effect affects some materials/plants more than others.
Still, if you need a polarizer, there’s really no digital substitute that I know of, although some filters/modifications can come moderately close.
Thank you for the post above!
