They'll give you a nice, shiny first generation model. Don't worry, they'll stock them for another eighteen months at least.

Why? You bought a 1st Gen and that's what they'd replace it with. You didn't buy an update plan

The good news: whatever they give you will have a higher resale value on ebay than whatever you have now!
