Persevere, persevere, persevere!

No ones talking about the Apple Town Halls? Angela would have been fired at the suggestion. There wouldn't be an iPhone that costs more than a Mac. Instead of enticing people to upgrade, it's making people want to hold on to their device. Who the heck is running the show?

I usually don't like these threads but I have to chime in here....

If Steve Jobs was still alive, MANY things would be different.

Apple's Product lines have become very fragmented and confusing for the average buyer. We have devices being shipped with major compromises that will effect the user (lack of Touch ID on iPhone X). And the simple fact that we really haven't seen ANYTHING new and exciting from Apple in a long time. It has all just been revisions to already existing tech. It is a company with no direction. If Steve Jobs were still alive, things would be different and who knows what other breakthrough, market altering product we would have.

He doesn't need to be alive. He's already turning over in his grave and punching himself over the fact that he has effectively turned everyone under 35 into mindless digital robots. None of them good for anything except tinkering on useless digital media in palms hand. They can't even hold a job... (Get it? Steve Jobs) LOL!

A bean counter who instead of innovating, just rebrands existing hardware and jacks up the prices on everything including existing hardware.

If Steve Jobs was still alive, the first segment dedicated to him would have been way longer.

(Also, they didn't even have to integrate Touch ID into the display. They have a perfectly good and useless Apple logo on the back of the phone. Why not make the Apple logo a Fingerprint reader? That way, the look of the phone stays identical.)

Tim Cook was very emotional when talking about Steve Jobs. And when his face appeared, Tim Cook was wiping tears. THAT is why he looked unhappy.

Yep. Don't even get me started with that Qi charge. Who really needs a fake wireless charge?
Or that cheap looking blingy polished edges? Are those made only for show up and poor people in developing countries to envy? Yak!

If he was alive, he would take out the headphone jack and the home button sooner (remember the 3rd gen shuffle? No buttons at all). And actually he would opted for Face ID, but probably made sure the presentation was flawless. It feels like everybody didn't have enough sleep/concentration. Phil was just reading the prompter, Craig was stumbling a bit, etc.

I do agree with one of the replies here, that Steve would simplify the lineup. The three tier was already complex, but made sense (cheapest, mid range but last gen, flagship). Now we have how many tiers? SE, 6S, 7, 8, and X... not counting the plus models. It's nice seeing more options, but from marketing perspective, this only confuses customers. It was already confusing enough when they released the SE with a more powerful chip than the "mid-range" iPhone 6.

Ironically, the iPad lineup gets simplified. iPad, and iPad Pro. Done.

If Jobs was still alive we’d all be using tiny 4” display iPhones.
