Hi

Just read a report on the front page that the antenna can be fixed via software update why could this not be rushed into 4.0.1? This just sounds like a cover story to me we,ll wait more users get locked in over there return it won't work apple will win!

And that conference today will be just mr jobs explaining how the software will work pushing it down our necks! Only to say released in 3to4 weeks keepin you thinking I'll wait for that fix!

Just all BS I love apple but there taring there whole brand with me!

This is a good question.

And as other's have said, you probably already know the answer.

There isn't a software fix to this hardware problem.

because even if there is a fix via software (which i don't believe), you can't just go into the code and type:

if someone is holding the phone with left hand, do not drop any bars. kthx

it's more complex than that...

Same reason why we have ton of food and still people die of hunger every day....

ok maybe not...but i felt the need to sound dramatic for once!:D

I'm gonna laugh at everyone that is saying there is No software fix for a hardware problem. In about 1hr 20mins

Well..it there is a software fix to the "issue" them it was not a hardware problem.... If there is a Hardware problem it cannot be solve by software....

Simple

Because there's no software fix for a hardware problem.

So wrong.

Now, not saying that THIS hardware issue can be fixed via software, but you can use software to fix hardware issues at times. Not always elegant, but you can do this at times.

those are NOT hardware fix,.,,the hardware is still doing what it was design to do...if it is not doing was it suppose to do there is nothing in software you can do to force it.

if you Masked, or change the software to display or show something different you are still relaying on the hardware to DO what is was suppose to do.
