iPhone XS Max If true, this could be huge for PWM sufferers

Given the number of people in the forum who’ve had issues with Apple’s exclusive implementation of OLED, while not having the same issues with other OLED models, this could be huge if true. Obviously nothing is set in stone until after the reveal but my fingers are crossed on this one.

Panels are one thing, but it's the driving software that implements PWM. Doubt it will make any difference unfortunately. A Samsung Note 10 panel can have wicked slow PWM that'll rip anyone's eyes out if the software is set to do that.

Isn’t the driver hardware control the display instead of software? Maybe I am wrong.

But yeah. The source of panel does not matter if the panel driver still uses the same PWM technology, and I can comfortably say Apple is well unaware of this issue and will keep doing what they did from last year. Pure speculation though.

Darn. I was hopeful maybe this would be a positive solution. Sorry for possibly getting hopes up.
