If Verizon lets me upgrade 8 months early will I still have to pay for the Note 3's plan ? do I get

I am so lost
I heard people can upgrade early if they are lucky. But I don't know what happens except I know you will be stuck another two years contract but what exactly happens? we only have to pay $200 ?

If I was eligible for an upgrade from my Note 3 contract plan..
I can transfer the number from the Note 3 to the iPhone 6S and only have to pay for the 6S plan ? and to get it only paying $200 on contract ?
Kinda lost since I heard people are able to upgrade before their 2 year contract is over.

First of all, I doubt Verizon is going to allow you to upgrade if you've still got eight months left on your contract. The only possible way I can imagine they'd let you upgrade is if you were on some sort of payment plan and then you paid off however much you still owe for the phone.

But no, if Verizon did allow you to upgrade, you wouldn't be stuck paying for two plans.
