If you buy full price 6s plus will the phone come preconfigured with your SIM?

If you buy a full priced iphone 6s plus, will it have all your info preinstalled on the phone.. i.e. sim and data plan installed etc? what I mean is, if I buy a full priced phone, will my iphone 6 plus still works with the existing sim or apple will automatically transfer it? I remember when I got my iphone 6 plus last year, they automatically migrated my data on to the new phone. so I was driving with an iphone 5s already disconnected/no service.

Your new iPhone 6s will have your phone number on the sim but will not be activated until your turn on and set up your new phone. Your 6 plus will be active until you get your new phone and turn on
