If you could buy only one

So say either you could afford to upgrade or buy only one, or just don't want to spend on both, would you give preference to an Iphone or Ipad. Im thinking in the fall of Upgrading either my 2017 Ipad to a Pro, or my Iphone SE to a bigger top of the line phone. I use both alot but am thinking the phone goes with me more and definitely gets more use so i should give that the love.

What would you do ?

well porn looks better on the pro but a bigger phone screen may be better for pocket porn.

All kidding aside, I would go for a 7+.
Great upgrade for you and save a couple of bucks to throw ar AppleCare.

IF you're fine with doing video or reading from an iphone, go for the phone. IF you prefer movies, etc on a iPad, I say go for the iPad. I watch very little on my X, but a lot on my iPad Air. I'm seriously thinking of getting a newer iPad for more power.

The 2017 iPad is already pretty good. If you were running an older iPad, that would make it a closer call, but you really don't mention needing the Pro features like keyboard cover or pencil (or even a storage upgrade). If it's all about screen real estate, the jump from the 4" SE display to a 4.7" or 5.5" display will be way more noticeable than going from a 9.7" to 10.5." If you go for a "plus" model iPhone, be aware that it's much bigger and heavier than the SE and rather hard to use with one hand like the SE. I prefer the 4.7" model for those reasons.

Depends what you use them for and which one is currently causing you problems. Honestly if I were in your position I'd upgrade the iPad and then next year get a new phone on contract rather than paying for it upfront.

I guess it somewhat depends on what gets released this year. There’s been rumors of an SE 2 and an edge-to-edge iPad Pro. If you use your phone the most, though, I’d say upgrade that first. Your iPad is still relatively new, so it’s probably something you could upgrade later IMO.
