Hmm …

I think OS X Leopard.

It was this version of OS X which came with my first ever Apple Product.

So revolutionary for me, and everything just worked.

...actually, I wish this question was in a wider scope, i.e., Android.

Alas, here we are; probably a MacBook, but an Intel one. I didn't give Apple a chance back in the day.

I’ve edited the title.

Feel free to alter your response 👍🏼.

The iPod classic, - that was a revolutionary device, an utter game changer in how we listened to music (and was beautiful, gorgeous to use, and fully functional, as well), as well as the original, the first ever MBA, the one that the late Mr Jobs drew from an A4 envelope, the only time in my life when I whispered "I want" upon laying eyes on a computer.

Probably something simple like a spoon.

But many of my coworkers minds are erased at clock out, I can take a survey if you’d like.

If we're talking software, probably Android Eclair 2.1, OS X Mavericks, Windows XP, or Arch Linux.

Thinking about Eclair got me wishing I could try an early 2010s HTC phone for the first time again, back when they were the coolest phones I had ever seen. I just wish HTC didn't fall off the face of the earth into irrelevance.

Oh my gosh, I haven't thought about RD since Highschool when it was on public Television late night with Are You being Served and Waiting to Die or something like that ... "Waiting for God" was it actually. Those shows along with Benny Hill & Black Adder 1/2/3 etc. just cracked me up. I have a AYBS box set lol. I need more "Cunning Plans" in my life and need to get the Black Adder too:D

Anyways, in regards to technology, I would like to relive the experience of playing an NES for the first time at my cousins house and being perplexed by the Dpad & two buttons - what wizardry was this?!? (had only used a 2600 joystick up to that point) in the mid 80s and the first time I saw OSX on my friends new Titanium Laptop sitting in a coffee shop in like 1998 or 99 - the dock alone just blew my mind LOL. Those are great technology memories.

Non Technical memories would be the first time I heard my favorite band Mogwai. My buddy who I played music with handed me a burn of TenRapid around 1999 IIRC. I still have it - I'm sure, squirreled away somewhere in my stuff. I remember none of the music stores in my area at the time had Mogwai CDs so I cared for that thing like a diamond ring, making a paper CD sticker for it and repro case ... even bought some CD polish to keep it going until I was able to find a way to source Mogwai stuff (before the days of easy internet purchasing - I think my buddy Chris got that CD off something called eBay ... ). Anyways, Mogwai was formative in many ways for me musically. To relive the first time I heard New Paths to Helicon Pt1 off Ten Rapid would be so amazing.

On a personal note, I would love to relive the first time I kissed my wife and how that felt. I remember lightening shooting through my nerves starting with my lips. She made me dinner on that date which was green Chile chicken and cheese enchilada casserole with Pinto beans and Spanish rice. Mmmmmmm yum :) and she had the greatest coffee too at the time which was a brand I was not familiar with called New Colony. reliving the emotion, the feelings & senses around that meal and the coffee too would be amazing. What a great date!

Anyways, I'd want to relive all those memories too.

I know the thread states service or product but I could not help myself - apologies to Op. Our lives are so much bigger, richer and lovely than the devices we use in them and IMO are what inform and bring context to the how and why of the products/services we use. Our lived experiences very much inform our emotional experiences and attachments.

Anyways, fun topic :)

This is the way.

The iMac instead of an iPad mini would have made me delve deeper into  ecosystem and macOS more. But that time I was on a tighter budget

BBC Basic, which was a coding language developed from ‘Basic’ to educate on the emerging ‘microcomputer’ revolution, and improve computer literacy.

I was 16, and I dismissed it out of hand, saying it was boring, too easy, and would never amount to much. 😩😩😩😩

All the Commodore computers again - the Commodore 64 and the Amiga computers. Those years were a special time where Commodore was the best computer company in the world. The last thirty years have been empty without Commodore.
