What would it be? This is the opportunity to be introduced as Mr. or Ms. whatever you like. Your first name would remain the same, though.

(You don't have to share your first name!)

"Pro"

Apparently it carries an enormous amount of prestige when tacked on the end of anything

Rockefeller... or maybe Windsor. :D

However, I did change my surname many years ago by deed poll. It's now all over my IDs and so forth, including my passport. It didn't go down well with some members of my family. Not a single soul on MacRumors knows what my previous name was.

MacBook so as I age, I'll be referred to as a Collector's Edition.

If I could choose any last name, I would choose Walton so that maybe I would start getting millions of dollars put in my bank account whenever a new Walmart goes up.

An old friend of mine is called "Robin Banks" :)

Always makes me smile, I guess his parents like to joke...

I'd probably keep mine. It's pretty unique and a lot of people recognize me or remember me because of it.

Isn't it obvious?

Jobs of course ;)

I think Blue Velvet must have been a basketball fan in her day ;)

I've pondered changing mine to my grandfathers surname (and my dads first surname). He died when my pops was young and my grandma remarried. It's a nice 1 syllable name, and if I had it whilst growing up I would have been seated next to my friends in school .
So that would be Evans, James Evans. Or Jimmo z Coolio E as my adoring fans would call me.

Drake, Skywalker or Guinness

Some of you might obviously be joking...but I'm serious. I would love any of those last names.

I'm actually thinking of changing my name at some point in the future. My entire life, people constantly ask me how to pronounce my last name....which annoys me to no end. For the sake of consistency, I'm planning to change it to a phonetic spelling of the first initial of my last name...which is what I've been telling people to pronounce it as, for many years. I would love a cool new name (like one of the ones that I listed). However, I mainly just want a new spelling with the same pronunciation...so people can pronounce it without having to ask.

I'm pretty happy with my own.

One of my friends has a last name I think is pretty unique that I wouldn't mind having though. "Pye". :) (Her middle name is "Peanut". :D)

There's only one name I'd care for but I'd want the guy that comes with it.

I suppose it's been long enough that most people wouldn't make the Good Times connection unless you started randomly exclaiming "Dyn-o-MITE!" ;)

Okay, I could have linked to the dad, also a James Evans, but Jimmie Walker is funnier.

When I was young I knew a girl whose first name was Pye.

As for myself, I'd probably actually consider adopting "Gelfin" as my genuine surname. I've certainly been using it long enough.

A friend at college had that surname :). But other than her I've never met another Pye.

I think that makes me want it more :D.
