I have a 2.8Ghz Mid 2010 15" MBP, and since the day that I got it, when I run Memtest86+ v 4.20, all I get is continuous errors, as if all the memory is defective. I have replaced the RAM with several other pairs (that test without errors on other macs) and I still get the errors on my MBP.

I just got back my MBP from apple after a logic board replacement for other reasons, and I was surprised to find that I still get the continuous errors with that test.

I have run this same CD on both newer and older MBP's and iMac's, and it always works without the errors. I am trying to determine if there is something about the Mid 2010 chipset that causes this test to fail continuously, or to see if I got yet another flaky logic board.

If you have a a Mid 2010 15" MBP, would you be willing to burn the following iso test and boot your mac from the CD. if you almost instantaneously get the bottom half of your screen filled with red lines, that is the same thing i get. however, if the bottom half of your screen remains, blue, that tells me that the test is working properly, and that I need to call applecare again to get another logicboard. Thank you very much,
