So there’s a lot of hate from 12 Pro and ProMAX owners who are bitter they didn’t get a 120hz ProMotion display last year as it was highly expected. Now some are trashing the 13 Pro and ProMAX because it has the one thing they wanted last year.

So what would it take for you 12 Pro and 12 ProMAX owners to actually upgrade ?

Nothing.

I upgrade every year and I'm actually going from 12PM to 13 Pro.

Camera improvements are all it takes for me as the iPhone is my camera of choice. But ProMotion and bigger batteries also help.

And as mentioned; no matter how small an upgrade is perceived, it's always an upgrade.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max that I was planning on keeping for 4-5 years.

I kept my iPhone 6S Plus for 5 years until the 12 Pro Max. So I obviously have no problem keeping a phone for a long time.

BUT... if I'm gonna keep a phone for that long... I REALLY want it to have the ProMotion screen. That's the one feature that is tempting me.

Luckily Apple will give me around $800 for my 12 Pro Max so it doesn't feel that bad to upgrade so soon.

And I'll keep the 13 Pro Max for a long time. I meant it. Really. I promise.

:)

I wouldn’t say bitter. If the notch was gone I’d have personally upgraded.

Honestly they could do just camera updates for the next 5 years and I would be 100% ok with it.
Absolutely. It’s all about the camera.

I love taking and sharing photos almost every day, and I’m happy to pay a premium to know that I’ve got the best camera of its type available.

There are some nice other features such as the display, but essentially it’s all about the camera.

If I had the 12 Pro Max I would not upgrade. The primary thing getting me to jump from my 11 Pro Max is 5G. Aesthetically, the square edges of the 12/13 are nicer but not deal makers. Battery life on my 11 Pro Max is outstanding so if the 12 Pro Max is comparable to that I don't see it being a factor going from 12 to 13. Camera upgrades - meh. ProMotion - meh. I use my camera primarily at work and for scanning documents with Scanner Pro.

I’m upgrading from the 12 PM to the 13 PM. I upgrade yearly. For me it’s the cameras. Every year. 5G UWB is big for me because I live across from a tower. ProMotion is gravy.

I am upgrading from 12 PM to the 13 PM as well. Camera, battery, OLED PM display, more 5G bands, are the main reason......plus, I upgrade almost every year.

Plus that blue is calling me.

Rose Gold color. If Apple launched a Rose Gold 13 Pro Max, I would bite my words and preorder today, and wait however long it take for my device to be in my hands. The features for the 13 series are fine with me.

I upgrade yearly, last year I wasn’t quite excited for the 12 PM but this year, ProMotion really sealed the deal for me.

I thought I wouldn’t do it, but the trade-in deals were good enough to where the choice was made easy. Another year of a Blue Pro, all day battery life, and improved camera were icing on the cake.

Nothing, sold my 12 pro max for $1,100.

could’ve got even more and a refund on my apple care + since it’s a family member who’s done favors for me in the past, I’m happy with that price.

For $750 I’m getting, smaller notch, bigger battery, 120hz, better cameras, Macro 📸🐜
A15 bionic chip, brighter display, most importantly of all, Sierra Blue sexiness 💙😂
