What's the point of a laser pointer for presentations again? :confused: Never used one, and never really felt the need for one either.

Drawing the audience's attention to something specific on a slide as you talk about it. Should be obvious but clearly it's not.
 
You can also use the built in laser pointer feature within Keynote (iOS only). While in play mode, press and hold the area of the slide you want to point to (on the iPad's screen). The press and hold will activate a laser pointer cursor that is displayed.

Except when you are not near the pad then my stylus works better.....I'd always rather have it in my hand than accidentally advancing the presentation....
