Down south
I am curious if you feel like you’re really missing out by not having the 5x zoom.

I am a point and shoot kind of picture taker, but I do like my pictures to look clear and decent. At the same time I’m burnt out on my pro max and really wanna go small and light.

How noticeable are the differences in the real world?

I went from a 14 Pro to the 13 mini expecting a bigger camera downgrade than I got. Portrait photos are noticeable worse. And I only miss the telephoto lens because I like to take pictures of my pets from across the room, or the occasional rabbit in the back yard.

The regular 16 probably has a much better camera than the 13 mini, probably even the 14 Pro, so it probably wouldn't be too much of an issue I’d imagine.

I have both, 16 pro personal phone, and regular 16 work phone.
Both cameras are really good, however the pro is definitely better, especially when trying to capture an object that is further way.

Definetly, the pro IS is much better and the quality Itself too. More details.
Also the 15 pro is better, too.

All the new phones making great point and shoot pictures, so even if you “downgrade” to a regular 16 you’ll be fine

16PM to a 16 Plus

Zero issues. Camera is still superb, pictures are just as good. IIRC that's because they share the same standard camera but not the zoom capabilities etc

Macro capabilities also still very good

Simple point n click picture of our kitten pretending to be one of the birds in the trees this morning 😂

Still has great detail

Yeah I’m thinking I can easily work with that. And if I’m really dissatisfied with the camera, I can always go back to a pro when they release 17s. I just don’t think I’ll go back pro max, especially now that they’re even bigger.

I may go ahead and take the leap. Lol
