Carrot Weather. Tons more information than Apple’s stock weather app, many more/better/customizable watch face complications, radar in the watch app, multiple sources of weather data to choose from. It does require a $10/year subscription to cover the cost of the app pinging for data every 30 mins if you use complications. But it is well worth the cost. The developer is very responsive and provides quality updates every quarter or so. Can’t say enough good things about Carrot and it is by far my most used watch app.

Thanks for that.

I actually have it installed, but haven’t tried it yet.

I’m only interested in precipitation, so I’m guessing the stock weather app it suitable for that? I also have Dark Sky, which I bought a few years ago.

Any other apps you use regularly? Ones you’d kind of feel lost without, if you never had an AW?

The App Transit is my most used 3rd party App. Great in a large city like NY with tons of transit options (and frequent delays!). I used to love Carrot Weather but it has become too complex for me. Perhaps I will give it another try.

There’s a great travel app called Citymapper, here in the UK.

Was just curious, as you’ve been quite helpful to me.
Ok, was wondering what a pedometer app had to do with which watch I had, lol.

I did think about upgrading to the S7 for its bigger screen, but ultimately decided to wait until next year to see if Apple adds more sensors or other functionality. But I love reading other people's experiences with the S7, so I can live vicariously. ;)

I do that with competitive eaters on YouTube, when trying to lose weight :D.

I guess I'd go with Stocard. It's an iPhone/watch app that lets me store my store loyalty cards.
Same here. Much easier to use than the phone when you're wearing a mask in a store. Still surprises a few clerks.

Another useful watch app is Buy me a Pie. I keep my shopping lists on the iPhone/iPad and it syncs to the watch so I can look at my list without having to pull my iPhone out of my pocket.

It’s showing as £44.99 in the UK App Store :D.

Another vote for Transit. It's the best way to quickly see when and which trains/busses are coming, the information is in real time, and the interface is slick. Highly recommended if you use public transportation. I live in Chicago, FWIW.

I think I'd have to give it a tie right now between Athlytic and Workoutdoors. Once Workoutdoors supports the AOD, I think I'd give it a slight edge.

I have my full review on both of these on chronomac.com.

Probably a super obvious one, but Spotify. Very useful to have that control on my watch, whether the audio is actually playing wherever.

I'll go with two: Shazam and Carrot.
Shazam because I can identify a song without having to take my phone out; and Carrot, because it seems to be a decent weather app, plus has the ability to adjust the settings from polite to downright rude. Mine is set to the latter.
