I can see the reason for everyone who purchased a phone recently and got stuck with 4.0.2 or 4.1 but for everyone else who are already jailbroken on 4.0 or 4.0.1, are you guys going to update and re-jailbreak tomorrow?

I can see the game center, hdr camera, and bug fixes are an interest to people but is it worth it? Also, won't you have to do this all over again when 4.2 arrives?

Not tomorrow, and possibly not until 4.2. My phone is dead stable right now; I'll wait until the packages I use are updated for 4.1 and until enough people report that the new JB is a clean one that doesn't cause major issues.

There's just not enough new features in 4.1 to make updating immediately compelling to me. To be fair, this isn't any different than before I jailbroke. If a device works well, I don't tend to mess with it.

If it's a pwned JB, I'll update, but first, I'll wait for the guinea pigs. :D

I'm updating from 4.01 to 4.1, my battery life isn't too great so I'm going to use this chance to set up as a new phone. I'm not really interested in any of the features in 4.1 HDR is nice but I'll probably only use it a handful of times.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

Yes

I upgraded and lost mywi buts not a big deal anymore since I had to sell the iPad. Whenever I get another one, the jailbreak will take precedence over official updates.

Yep I like the HDR Pictures and gamecenter was pretty good especially now that Angry Birds have it and Sonic 4 is getting it soon.

Going to wait for the first round of updaters, then I'll follow suit. I WANT my proximity sensor to be fixed.

After thinking about it, I'm just going to wait until 4.2 honestly. Because I don't really care for the 4.1 offerings. The only little thought in my head is so I can FaceTime with my cousin with her iPod touch.

Hey im new to this kind of stuff but I want update to 4.1 from 4.0.1 when the new jailbreak comes out. How can I go about doing this ? can anyone help or direct me to a tutorial ? Thanks

I'm using an iPhone 4 16gb jailbroken btw.

I've been jealous of my gf's phone with HDR for a while now, so I'm definitely upgrading. (waiting on the download now!):D

Don't really want Game Center and HDR isn't a game breaker for me really as I don't use the camera for anything remotely high end photography related so is fine as is. I'll see how it all pans out but may just wait till 4.2 in the coming months.

If I were to try limera1n, bugs & all, theres no danger to the phone is there?

My personal data is secured off phone so if my iPhone went whacky I could just restore to original or from a backup & wait for GreenP's JB, right?

Hell no. It took long enough to get everything I needed on Cydia to be 4.0 /iPhone 4 compatible. I'm not waiting again for Open Feint 2 and HDR photos.

There's not enough new features in the update to make me want to go through the hassle of reorganizing all my apps back into infinifolders after I rejailbreak. Maybe 4.2. Then again, maybe not even then.

Updating to 4.1 as soon as there's a Mac version for limera1n and 3GS is supported. My friends keep bugging me to get on Gamecenter and it seems like a good addition. I only use 1 JB app so reinstalling isn't difficult.

yes i will

not immediately, but i do want to try HDR and the new imovie

Nope, phone is fine as it is and took me a while to get it the way I want it, i'll jailbreak when 4.2 is out.

I'll probably wait for the dev team release. Even then, I might still wait to see if BiteSMS is going to work correctly on 4.1. If not, then I'll stay where I'm at..4.0.1
