If you're not upgrading to an M4 Mac, what system are you sticking with?

I have an M1 MBA, and although it'd be fun to get a new toy, I have no actual need to upgrade. It's still perfectly fast and responsive for almost anything I need it to do.
It's a work machine, but M2 Max MBP 16". It performs like a champ. It'll get upgraded likely to the M5 in my company's 3 year cycle.
The only things I really want from the M4 series is Thunderbolt 5. I was disappointed to find that the display capabilities seem to be otherwise identical to my M2, as e.g scaling options get limited on above 4K displays to a max framebuffer of 8K horizontal pixels. Which is a big issue on my 8Kx2K superultrawide and even M4 seems to offer no solution.

M2 MacBook Air as well
I'm not a power user by any stretch, so the M2 is still plenty powerful for my needs
I would if I could but unfortunately large desktop users are still left behind yet another generation.
I did upgrade my M1 mini to a M4 Pro mini. But my M1 Max MacBook Pro is doing just fine, the juice wouldn't be worth the squeeze on that upgrade.
I traded in my M1 16" MacBook Pro in February and got a nice credit, combined with a sale promotion for the new M3 Max 14" MacBook Pro so I'm fine for years to come. I much prefer the 14" form factor and the machine is plenty fast and future-proofed (1 TB drive, 36 GM of RAM, etc.), it'll chug along just fine.
On the other hand, having a M4 Pro Mac mini is more and more appealing as a workstation machine at home for work that I don't have to take with me...

I was going to buy an M4 Mini to free up my M1 for work stuff only, and use the M4 for music making, but after a lousy trade-in offer, and atrocious support experience I’ve decided to keep and use my Intel MacBook Pro for music instead.
Despite its age and non-silicon processor, the old MBP handles Ableton and a bunch of plugins no sweat, and the M1 Mini is a reliable workhorse.
If I decide on an upgrade in the new year I’ll go for a second hand M2, I’m done with chasing the latest new shiny thing.

M2 MBA and we have a family 2019 Intel iMac. Both are just fine for what they are used for, and I have no reason to upgrade. If we need to upgrade the iMac it will be next summer or later, probably be when it no longer gets MacOS updates; the MBA will probably be updated in 2027 (I basically get a new one every 5 years.)

27" iMac, i9, 32 GB, 5700 XT. It could do with a spring clean (might need new thermal paste) but it otherwise does the job. With that said, I'm certainly not buying another all-in-one given how difficult it is to work on it.
Waiting on the M4 Max Mac Studio to replace my 2009 Mac Pro. Was looking forward to an M3 Max Studio, but they never came out, so M4 it is.
On the desktop side I recently upgraded from a 2009 Mac Mini to the M1 Mac Mini.
As far as laptops go my upgrade path was even crazier. I skipped Intel entirely going from an early 2005 15”PowerBook G4 to a 14” M1 Pro Macbook Pro.
That being said, I’m not upgrading anything for a while. I still have and use my PowerPC macs alongside my Apple Silicon macs.

Extremely satisfied with my M1 Max MBP, and likely to remain a happy camper for a while 
M2 Pro MacBook Pro 14, I'll ride this until we get OLED displays and less overall weight on these models
The funniest thing is that my PowerMac G5 has the same amount of ram as my Apple Silicon macs!

I’m sticking with my M1 iMac 16/512, no need to upgrade it. I only use it for light work, browsing and writing and watching Netflix. I hope to hold onto it until the security updates stop coming.

I got a MacBook Air M1 with 16 GB RAM and a 1 TB disk, when they released the M1s, and - as long as nothing breaks - it will probably last me for many years, still...
