Hi,
I'm missing the ifconfig command in my iPhone

Code:
iPhone:~ root# ifconfig
-sh: ifconfig: command not found
iPhone:~ root# find / -name ifconfig -type f
iPhone:~ root#

isn't it supposed to be present by default ?

ifconfig, where to find?

Hi guys,

I've been searching everywhere for network-cmds and/or inetutils so I can get ifconfig working on my iphone (ios4) terminal. It seems to have vanished from Cydia. Anyone know where to get it?

Thanks!

In Cydia, pick MANAGE and then SETTINGS and make sure you pick hacker or developer instead of user -- you should then see the packages in Cydia when searching or under the NETWORKING section.
