This just started today. My handyman is getting my condo ready for me to move it, but today it sent me notifications every time he arrives - all from IFTT. (I have a recipe that turns the lights on when I arrive that he is triggering somehow).

Handyman has connected to my wifi but does not have shared HomeKit or access to my IF account.

How is he triggering my IFTT? He isn't part of any of my systems other than having the wifi login.

It will just be because his phone automatically connects to your router whenever he arrives. Your recipe must be based on anyone connecting, which makes sense.

He didn't connect to my wifi (just checked with him, he has the pass but never connected). I'm stumped - he's there today but the recipes didn't run today.

(The recipe is based on my phones location)

difficult to say, without knowing the full setup... no chance he's got IFTTT on his phone, logged into your account?
