You need to add another $120, contracts run for two years. Add a little over $100 more and you could just by one for retail and not be locked into two contracts. I don't know about you but $120 isn't worth being locked into contracts with $600 worth of ETF's.

What the hell? That's not the way to do it. This is how to do it:

  1. Buy iPhone 5. The even year (2012 in this case) is always going to be the one that has a redesign of sorts to it while the one after that will just be an S-for sucker rehashing.
  2. Skip iPhone 5S, its just gonna be the same anyway with new internals and it fits perfectly with your contract to skip it. Be content with your still powerful iPhone 5 and no contract woes.
  3. Buy iPhone 6 with the 300 or so dollars you make from the sale of the 5. Renew contract with no hassles.
  4. Repeat till the end of time.

No money lost. New phone every 2 years with minimal effort.

Sigh. This doesn't work if you have teenagers. They're like vultures waiting for you to upgrade so they can get the old phone.

EDIT: can't spell for the life of me.

This thread is about upgrading every year so you always have the best technology without losing any money... not waiting every 2-years to upgrade.
Is it really that enticing to wait for an S-version of the iPhone you already have?

Fixed that for ya. :D

LOL. Too true. I have two (actually one is no longer technically a teen ). At least they can be cute sometimes:
