I was in my local Home Depot, and they had iHome IH5's on clearance for $50. My wife has wanted a new stereo and alarm clock for the bedroom, so we thought that we would give the IH5 a try.

We tried it at home, and it really sounds great. For $50, I doubt that you can find a better sounding, more featured stereo/alarm clock with iPod integration. We picked up a brand new remote on ebay for about $12 shipped.

Thanks for the update. I for one can add that it's the best value pick ever. I got mine for 70 last year, but it has been so worth it (with remote, at Costco. They have the updated edition now, with two alarms, etc and remote) for the pricing.

btw, is it just me or does your iHome H5 NOT charge your 2G Nano? It worked fine with the old 1G nano, but it only plays your songs on the 2G when you place it in the dock.

It charges my mini just fine. I ordered my wife a 30GB iPod with video for Valentine's day. I can check the charging status of that one on February 14th!
