iHome: Text Message sounds?

I picked up an IP88 this weekend and while I like the fact that it charges my iPhone as it's docked, I missed a few text messages late last night because the sounds don't play while docked. That's kind of a killer for me, so I am wondering how one gets the sounds to play? Do any of the alarm clock kind of docks allow text messages to play through?
