The iLamp is what we called the old G4 iMac. It has a hemispherical base with a flat screen floating above it on an adjustable arm. It was a good machine in its time and my be worth it to you now depending on 1. What you have now, 2. What you want to do with it, and, of course, 3. what the price is.

Personally I'd rather have a regular lamp and an iPod Hi-Fi or similar. Seems a little too gimmicky.
 
Seems like a silly spend, IMO. Cheapest I saw it for was $80.. Since I really doubt the speakers on the iLamp are any good, for that much, I'd rather buy some good speakers and a cheap desk lamp and be done with it.
