iLife '08 causing annoying CD spin up on MacBook Pro

I didn't know whether to post this here or on the MBP forum.

Everytime I open an iLife '08 application, the CD drive on my MacBook Pro spins up to full speed and keeps going for about 2 minutes. It's annoying and extremely loud, especially when it's sitting on my desk.

Anyone else have this issue, and is there any fix?


iLife 08, all software updates installed
MacBook Pro 15" 2.2ghtz, 2GB Ram, 120GB HD
Mac OS X 10.4.10
