iLife 09 and iphoto library manager

To make some space in my iPhoto (09) library I have created some libraries in iphoto Library Manager (on-line software) to keep on an external hard drive. That worked fine, but now my original library is acting oddly - can't delete photos or drag to trash (iphoto or desktop), need to quit the program by force-quit. Anyone else had experience using these programs together?

09 iPhoto & i Photo Library manager

I also have a recent problem with above as my images wont open. The message is that the original image cant be found.

I have iPhoto manage and 08 iPhoto on another mac and no problem. I have tried rebooting iPhoto and iPhoto Library manager. Has anyone tried re-installing 09 iPhoto??
