iLife '09 family pack

I'm getting the iLife '09 family pack. my sister is in another country for a few months. rather than put the iLife '09 DVD at risk of getting lost in the post, can I send her a copy of it.
will that work as well as the actual iLife '09 DVD?
is it allowed?
will it even install for her?

I was just I could buy her a copy from the online Apple Store where she living at the moment for her birthday.
